A several morphophysiological trails - hair color, eyes color, tongue rolling, midphalangeal hair, digital index, seeing of color (color vision) and sensitivity to PTC - were examined in 395 elementary schoolchildren from Novi Sad aged 10-14. The examination was shown that the dominant variant of the traits were the most frequent. The dark hair was noticed in 98.2% (q = 0,13) and the dark eyes in 78,7% (q = 0,46) of the studied pupils. The presence of middigital hair was characteristic for 63,04% of the examined children (q = 0,61) and the most of the children (66,3%) could roll a tongue (vertical rolling). No significant differences were found in these morphological traits between boys and girls. Digital index - type I (2 > 4) was present among 52,8% of the girls and 30,5% of the boys; also, type A (2<4) was expressed in 23,9% girls and 41,4% boys. The most of the girls (78,2%, q = 0,47) and boys (66,7%, q = 0,57) were sensitive to the (bitter) taste of PTC. Finally, defective vision of the red and green part of the spectrum was found in 4,5% boys only. Sex differences were significant in all the traits mentioned above.
