The flexibility of female from adolescence to maturity
The flexibility of female from adolescence to maturity
Flexibility, the ability to move joints through a full rang of motion, often benefits maximal performance, whereas limited flexibility is a factor in sports injuries. An individual's flexibility decreases without training, even during childhood and adolescence (Hupprich & Sigerseth, 1950; Martin, 1977; Milne et al., 1976). The trend toward declining flexibility represents the average state of fitness among representative groups of people. It does not indicate that everyone automatically loses flexibility. In fact, athletes, dancers and other engaged in flexibility training usually maintain or improve their rang of motion as they age (Munns, 1981; Germain & Blair, 1983; McAdam & Smith, 1988). The flexibility trend of the 15 to 55 years old aerobics trainees have been the aim of this paper. The 300 women from AP Vojvodina (Novi Sad, Zrenjanin, Ruma) were the sample and they were divided into subsamples on years criteria. The following research technique is used: measuring the motor manifestation (6 flexibility tests). The inclining - declining trend of results of every test was shown.
The form of dental arch, torus palatinus and papilla incisivi
The form of dental arch, torus palatinus and papilla incisivi
The aim of the study was to define the shape of maxillary and mandibular arch, palatine torus and incisive papillae. We analysed the total number of 500 study models (250 male and 250 female subjects). Three different shapes of dental arches may be found in a modern man: ellipsoid, parabolic and the shape of the Latin letter U. The results showed that the parabolic arch shape was most frequent in the study sample (90%), therefore the percentage frequency of the ellipsoid and U shape was quite low. The results indicated the absence of the palatine torus in one half of the subjects (51%), therefore the third of our subjects had a torus forming either a small cylinder along the midline of the hard palate or a high cylinder along the whole palate. Incisive papillae can appear in seven different shapes. The cylindrical shape of incisive papillae is most frequent in our study (33,8%), the wide oval shape is less frequent (27,4 %), therefore all the other shapes are present only in the minority of our subjects. Incisive papillae were middle expressed in almost one half of our examinees (49,2%), the average length was 6,82 mm and the average width was 3,05 mm. .
The frequency of Duffy blood group system in population of Vojvodina
The frequency of Duffy blood group system in population of Vojvodina
The Duffy system of the blood groups was tested on the voluntary blood donors. The test was performed on 5,000 blood donor samples for the period of 10 years. The analyses were performed using the standard work methods with the aid of anti-serum imported from several foreign countries and produced by different producers, and then statistical processing of the data was carried out. Antigens of Duffy sistems Fya and Fyb are determined by the method of indirect anti-human-globuline tests (IAT), and are used test serums anti-Fya, anti-Fyb and anti-human-globuline serum. The obtained results for the antigens Fya and Fyb in comparison with the results form the area of the Republic of Serbia indicate that there are no statistical significance in relation to the frequencies of Duffy blood group system in Vojvodina. The frequencies of phenotypes are different but correlate with the results obtained in Serbia and in majority of European countries. The analyses of the results may confirm that, for the so far tested other blood group systems, the population of Vojvodina has particularity and specificity due to a great number of people belonging to different national communities living in it, and that this study completes a genetic map of blood groups presence and contributes to the overview of the genetic variability of Vojvodina population.
The frequency of babies born with a heart failure in Maternity hospital Prokuplje
The frequency of babies born with a heart failure in Maternity hospital Prokuplje
Inborn heart failure is defined as structural abnormalities of cardiovascular system present at the very birth and manifested: immediatelyin the early neonatal period, after several weeks or months. Incidence rate is 6-8 cases in 1000 live born babies. 30% of all inborn failures go to inborn heart failures. They are divided into: failures with cyanosis and failures without cyanosis; failures with murmur and failures without murmur. Etiology is multifactorial. The symptoms are: cyanosis, fatigue, tachypnea, dyspnea, slow advance of body mass, frequent respiratory infections. Retrospective analysis of the protocol of live born babies and the list of newborns in Maternity hospital in Prokuplje for period from January 1, 1994 to December 31, 2008 shows that 57 babies were born with an inborn heart failure. All of them had heart murmur in the first six days of life. The increase in the newborns with inborn heart failure in the last five years is evident. The failure is prevalent in female babies. Such babies deserve great attention of medical staff and their parents and surrounding because 1-2% of all organic heart conditions go to congenital anomalies of the heart. Since they frequently result in death, they need to be duly discovered and adequately diagnosed and treated. .
The impact of body composition on the performance of complex locomotive structures of girls 11-12 years of age
The impact of body composition on the performance of complex locomotive structures of girls 11-12 years of age
Percentage of specific parameters of body composition to an extent can give some information about ones locomotive abilities. This fact has a great importance for resolving needs and necessities of motor behavior in human in everyday life. The period just before the puberty is particularly important for biological development, hence in would be interesting to investigate how different parameters of body composition affect the ability of performing complex locomotive structures. The parameters of body composition and body height were measured on a sample of 120 girls aged 11-12 years, while the ability of performing complex locomotive structures was estimated by ability of performing the exercises on the apparatuses and on the ground after a short period of training. Subjects were grouped into two groups by using cluster analysis on the basis of difference in the ability to perform complex locomotive structures. The difference in body composition between these two groups was analyzed afterwards, by using multivariate analysis of variance and univariate analysis of variance. Parameters of body composition in large part determine the ability of performing complex locomotive structure of girls 11-12 years of age. A group of girls who had a better ability of performing complex locomotive structures had a significantly lower body mass, amount of body fat, a greater amount of muscle mass and body water, while the amount of body height and bone mass were no statistically significant differences. .
The increase of morphological measures of girls measured in 2012 and 2014
The increase of morphological measures of girls measured in 2012 and 2014
Since longitudinal and transversal dimensions of the body are under a great influence of genetic factors, in this paper we were concerned with the increase of morphological measures in younger school-age girls measured in 2012 and 2014. The aim of this research was to establish the differences in absolute and relative values of longitudinal and transversal dimensions, body weight and body mass index. The obtained data show the average increase of anthropometric parametres of the girls during the two-year period, that the average body height of the girls measured in 2012 was 133.3±5.42 cm, and in 2014, 145.2±5.71 cm. The increase in body height is 11.9 cm. Other measured longitudinal and transversal dimensions were also statistically significant increased. Relative values of longitudinal and transversal body dimensions are not increased apart from the in crease in the relative hip width that is statistically significant. Namely, the identical ratio of these dimensions and body height has been retained. Body mass index was 17.63± 2.74 kg/VTm2 in 2012, and 18.96±3.24 kg/VTm2 in 2014. The obtained values of body mass index show that on average, the girls measured in 2012 are of normal weight and those measured in 2014 are overweight.
The influence of a three-month training course on changes of mobility potential of first-rate wrestlers
The influence of a three-month training course on changes of mobility potential of first-rate wrestlers
A system of total 14 basic mobility variables was applied to a sample of 18 respondents from 9 wrestling clubs in Serbia at the age of 16 till 24 . The aim of this research is to establish a static importance of differences in arithmetic means between initial and final measuring after a three-month situational experimental treatment for every applied basic mobility variable . On the basis of testing of universal static importance of differences in arithmetic means between final and initial measuring ( t-test ) at six applied basic mobility variables it was established that they are statistically important on the level .00 (p=.05) . On the basis of gained results in the area of basic mobility abilities it could be concluded that the results improvement was noticeable after a period of three months at a hands' and shoulders' strength , torso and legs in absolute and relative values , thanks to well prepared and operationalized situational training course within a three-month period of work with wrestlers. .
The influence of global motivational orientation and needs for autonomy, competence and relatedness on work motivation
The influence of global motivational orientation and needs for autonomy, competence and relatedness on work motivation
The aim of this research was to test whether work motivation is affected by global motivational orientation or by the perception of the degree of satisfaction of basic psychological needs for autonomy, competence and relatedness in a work context. Self-determination theory provided conceptual framework. The sample comprised 428 respondents. The following scales were used: the Global Motivation Scale, the Basic Need Satisfaction at Work Scale, while the scale for measuring work motivation was designed for the purposes of this research paper. Regression analysis was applied. The results show that every aspect of work motivation is mostly under the influence of the eponymous tendency on the level of a global motivational orientation. The influence of environmental factors associated with the work context on an individual's work motivation depends mostly on the perception of the degree of satisfaction of the need for competence at work.
The influence of organized physical activity on anthropometric measures and cardiovascular diseases risk factors in population of students
The influence of organized physical activity on anthropometric measures and cardiovascular diseases risk factors in population of students
The following parameters were measured and compared on the sample of 77 students of the final year of studies: body height, body weight, waist and hips circumference. The sample was divided into two groups: the first group composed of 33 students of final year at Faculty of Medicine, and the second group composed of 44 students of final year at Faculty of Sports. Based on the measured parameters the following was calculated: WHR (waist to hip ratio), WSR (waist to stature ratio) and BMI (body mass index). The included cardiovascular risk fact ors were: blood pressure (TA), glycemia and lipid status. Since the students of Faculty of Medicine have no organized physical activities, while the students of Faculty of Sports are physically active, the measured and the other parameters were different, which would be discussed in detail.
The influence of regular physical education classes on the adaptive processes of motor agility and functional abilities
The influence of regular physical education classes on the adaptive processes of motor agility and functional abilities
The sample consisted of 40 female participants extracted from a population of elementary school students from Niš, age 12 ± 6 months, who regularly participated in their physical education classes. The basic aim of the research was to determine the influence of programmed contents of regular physical education classes on the development of the motor agility and functional abilities of the participants. The research problem was the evaluation of whether under the influence of physical education in the curriculum we can achieve a statistically significant increase in the level of the motor agility and functional abilities of the participants. By using the student t-test for small dependent samples and the canonical discriminant analysis, we determined that under the influence of physical exercise, at the end of a three-month period of physical education classes, a statistically significant increase in the level of motor agility and functional abilities of the participants was determined.
The influence of sports and recreation against illness of dependence-alcoholism
The influence of sports and recreation against illness of dependence-alcoholism
Sports and recreation activities provide people to improve their physical and functional abilities which create advantageous influences on people's health, good mood and functional ability. Nevertheless, Sports and recreation activities affect on stability of nerve system, success in business, and good results in school etc. People often start to use different opiates in youth, when they are under psychological influence of their friends-smokers-addict-'drunk'. Also, they are usually not conscious of danger that threatens them. Do you drink alcohol? On this question 48 tested (of 100 ones that were questioned) gave the positive answer which is 48 percent (in percentage registered). The research involved secondary-school pupils in Novi Pazar. There is the difference affirmed between answers of pupils from Medical school and High school, and the ones from Technical school. That's because pupils from Medical school and High school are from town (urban), while ones from Technical school are from the province-village. .
The influence of sports and recreation against illness of dependence-smoking
The influence of sports and recreation against illness of dependence-smoking
The research conducted pupils from secondary Economy school, High school and secondary Technical school. While pupils from Medical school and High school are from town (urban), while ones from Technical school are from the province-village. Physical activity is component of man's every day life. Through the evolution man built certain mechanisms of operating of whole organism (CNS, heart, circulation, lungs) for whom physical activity is crucial nerve for keeping or more, improving functional abilities and health. There are many cases in which adolescents start to use different dopes because of their personal problems. Observations and researches approve that there is the majority of those who are not conscious of danger of using dopes (cigarettes, alcohol and drugs) when they start to use them. Lack of information is typical for young people, even for those who play sports regularly. From the number of hundred who are tasted 49 answered that consume cigarettes, which is 49 percent (in percentage). By the unofficial data, there are 45 percent of young people-teenagers in Serbia that consummate cigarettes. .
