Knjiženstvo, Journal for Studies in Literature, Gender and Culture was established within the project of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia – Knjiženstvo, Theory and History of Women’s Writing in Serbian until 1915.
Knjiženstvo is a scientific journal (category M52) included in the databases EBSCO, ERIH PLUS and CEEOL. The journal publishes scientific papers, interviews and book reviews dedicated to topics from literature, other arts and culture in general, with a focus on gender research – more specifically, women’s literary and artistic work in any language, culture or period. Furthermore, Knjiženstvo has promoted and advocated digital humanities since its founding.
The journal is published annually in an electronic format. Manuscripts prepared according to author instructions are submitted by September 1 of the current year to the following e-mail addresses: knjizenstvo@fil.bg.ac.rs and knjizenstvo@gmail.com. Manuscripts selected by the editorial board then undergo a peer review process.
The journal is published in December on the Knjiženstvo platform.
The journal Knjiženstvo, Journal for Studies in Literature, Gender and Culture, in its work and editorial organization, as well as the content published, maintains exclusively the stances and procedures that are non-discriminatory.
