Jorjo Tadić’s legacy contains an unpublished review of the Serbian Literary Cooperative edition of Osman prepared by Miroslav Pantić. In the review Tadić makes a positive assessment of Pantić’s edition of Osman. He pointed out the importance of extensive commentaries and numerous clarifications of archaic expressions that facilitated the understanding of this baroque epic. Tadić considered this edition to be a representative example of how the works of older literature should be printed. The review also addresses the relevance of Gundulić’s work and the political ideas developed in his works. In the same spirit in which he had written feuilletons in his youth, he demonstrated that Gundulić’s works often reflected the contemporary historical setting.
