The excavations conducted since the end of the 20th century in the ancient village of Kellis (Ismant el-Kharab) have brought to light a considerable amount of texts, as well as precious information about the everyday life of its inhabitants. Among the documents discovered, there are three papyri and a tablet classified as iatromagical. This paper offers a description of these objects and of the site of ancient Kellis, followed by a discussion of their socio-cultural context and their conditions of writing.
