The body
The body
This paper discusses cultural context of the body: different ways of adoption of culturally favorized relationship nature-culture among different social groups. In addition, we discuss the representations of the construct in media and current cultural productions, with an emphasis on museum practice. A special attention is given to the discussion of gender, age and socio-economic differences that help to define the relationship toward the body, as well as contribution of various power factors (politics, church school, media). The analysis should show that re-traditionalism, so characteristic of a post-communist period in Serbia, did not affect the relationship toward the body; furthermore, the different power factors reflect totally opposed messages which serves to further confuse the people in the transitional Serbia, already under the stress of the numerous everyday problems. In such cacophony, personal answers correspond, most of the time, with the most promoted media messages created by the construct making additional personal vagueness and unsatisfaction.
The body fat mass as the percentage of body weight at teachers to be in Subotica
The body fat mass as the percentage of body weight at teachers to be in Subotica
One of the basic needs is food. It is specifically significant in the growth period. With meals we take in nutrients. Traditions rule in our customs connected with nutrition. Just recently was found out how part nutrition has in developing civilisational illnesses. Inappropriate nutrition and the need for proper leading of life is often mentioned nowadays. With most of the people neither the amount, nor the quality is appropriate. That's why the phenomenon of malnutrition and obesity is so frequent. Proper nutrition helps preserving health, improves working skills, and slows down ageing. Because of these reasons mentioned, we thought it would be useful if we study the nutrition of the youth in schools. Since the equerry included future teachers the results show us if they will teach the younger generation the right way. Based on this data about height and body fat, BMI was established, and with the help of the Body Fat Monitor the percentage of the body fat of the students of the Teachers Training College in Subotica was also determined. We can state that the future-teachers are normal body weighted, aren't thin and aren't fat - the quantity of the body-fat is normal. This fact can be exemplary for the children later.
The changes made to the basic-motor abilities and the special motor abilities of young soccer players during the preliminary period
The changes made to the basic-motor abilities and the special motor abilities of young soccer players during the preliminary period
This research included 28 examinees of the male sex, ages 12 to 13, ± 6 months, which actively play football in Banja Luka. The basic aim of the research was to determine the changes which occurred dunns the preliminary period on the basis of the results of the initial and final measurements of basic-motor and situational-motor skills. The basic-motor abilities were defined by means of the latent dimensions of the general and explosive type strength and the situational-motor abilities by means of tests regarding the range of a kicked ball (the kick was performed with the entire outside area of the foot) with a running start and the range of a ball which was head kicked with a running start. For the evaluation of the quantitative differences between the initial and the final measurements of the basic-motor and situational-motor abilities, both a multivariate and univariate variant analysis were used. By testing the relevance of the difference in the variable level of the latent basic-motor abilities and the special-motor abilities by means of the Wilk's Lambda test at a multivariate level, a statistically significant difference was determined. At the univariate level, the F-relationship and its significance at the P-level indicate that in the case of basic-motor abilities a statistically significant difference was determined in the case of the variables explosive type strength, and in the case of special-motor abilities in all the performed tests.
The comparative analysis of sexual delinquents, robbers and murderers' psychopathological and sociopath-hological characteristics
The comparative analysis of sexual delinquents, robbers and murderers' psychopathological and sociopath-hological characteristics
The aim of this work is to establish psychopathological and sociopathological similarities and differences between sexual delinquents, robbers and murderers. 146 sexual delinquents, 50 robbers and 256 murderers have been processed. Research methods included a standardized questionnaire which consisted of sociodemographic, criminological, alcoholic psychiatrical-psychological, victimological characteristics of the delict situation as well as psychological exploration and social anamnesis of delinquents. The results of sexual delinquents, robbers and murderers' psychopathological and sociopathological characteristics comparative analysis show that sexual delinquents have more similar characteristics with robbers than with murderers. Murderers' aggression has a lot more psychopathological characteristics than the aggression of sexual delinquents and robbers. It is directed to close acquaintances and family members. The aggression of sexual delinquents and robbers is mainly characterized by social pathology and it is directed to more distant people or strangers.
The connection of the height and the body mass with the physical deformities of adolescents in Sombor
The connection of the height and the body mass with the physical deformities of adolescents in Sombor
The aim of the research was to establish the connection between the body height and the body mass and the deformities of the elbow, the spinal column, the rib cage and the foot among adolescent population. The total number of the examined students in the Secondary Medical School in Sombor was 131 and they were all between 15 and 18 years old. We measured their height and body mass according to the instruction of the International Biological Program. In order to establish the existence of the physical deformities, we used the method of the physical habitus and the body segment inspection. The order of the examination was the following: the front, the lateral and the back part of the body. The students were divided into two groups by Klaster analysis: according to the height (shorter taller) and according to the weight (lighter, heavier); then, our task was to estimate the existence of deformities in these groups. The results of our research show that there is a connection between the body height and the body mass with certain deformities. Taller adolescents have hollow chests and genua recurvata and heavier ones have "X" legs. With lighter adolescents "O" legs are more common.
The connection structure of anthropometric characteristics and locomotor system deformities with adolescents
The connection structure of anthropometric characteristics and locomotor system deformities with adolescents
The aim of the work was to establish the mutual connection of anthropologic characteristics, the connection of locomotor system deformities and the connection between certain deformities and anthropologic characteristics. The total number of the examined students was 709. There were 578 girls and 131 boys from 15 to 18 years old and they all attended the secondary medical school in Sombor. The anthropometric examination included length measures - body height and leg length, weight measure - body mass, breadth measures - shoulder breadth and pelvic breadth and the scope of a rib cage. Measuring was carried out with standard anthropologic instruments and according to instructions and methods of International Biology Program. In order to estimate the status of locomotor system and to discover the existing deformities, we applied the method of examinee inspection. Our results showed that there was a high connection of longitudinal characteristics, as well as transversal measures and body mass with transversal characteristics. We established mutual connection and at the same time the arising of spine and rib cage deformities. Mutual connection of knee and foot deformities was discovered, too. We also established the connection of body height and body mass with certain deformities.
The contribution of Mr. Božina Ivanović to the anthropological science
The contribution of Mr. Božina Ivanović to the anthropological science
Božina Ivanović is the founder of modern biophysical anthropological science in Crna Gora (which is, Montenegro). He studied the origin of human populations in Montenegro and followed their development from prehistory to modern times. He identified pre-Greek, Illyrian, Greek, Roman and Slavic anthropological characteristics of the population of Montenegro and the populations in the nearby geographical regions. Also remarkable are his studies of the processes of adaptation and dinarization, about the ontogenesis of children and young people, and about the morphological characteristics of the modern populations of Montenegro and ex-Yugoslavia. By elaborating these and other problems, Božina Ivanović gave a very noticeable contribution to the study of the anthropological characteristics of the populations of Crna Gora, the Balkans, and Europe.
The contribution of nutritive principles and the sportsmen's performance
The contribution of nutritive principles and the sportsmen's performance
The paper analysis the diets used by two groups of performance sportsmen both before and during the competition periods; at the same time, the contribution ratio of the different nutritive principles was established this contribution ratio may be used to explain the performance of the studied sportsmen. First of all, the sportsman's nutrition has to cover the energetic needs required by the sport effort, as well as, by the other daily activities, such as basal, professional and entertainment.

The degree of dependence among some genetically determined parameters of growth and development in children and their parents
The degree of dependence among some genetically determined parameters of growth and development in children and their parents
The aim of this research was to determine whether the time of the appearance of milk tooth in children is the sawed as with their parents and the correlation of height and weight both in children and their parents, as being genetically determined parameters of growth and development. The task was also to see whether the time of the appearance of milk tooth in children and in their parents is influenced by their height and weight. The survey was done with 134 children aged 6-8 and their parents. On the basis of the descriptive parameters of statistical analysis it is concluded that the time of the appearance of milk tooth in children is a bit earlier than with their parents. As for the correlation with the height and the weight of children and their parents it is observed a slight one, due to the cyclic character and the individual characteristics of the developmental period of children. Height and weight do not affect the time of the appearance of milk tooth.
The digital formula of foot in Bulgarian population
The digital formula of foot in Bulgarian population
The autor examined the digital formula of foot in group of 678 persons of both sex (305 males and 373 females) in Bulgaria using Ihe method of Klementa J. In Bulgarian population of the both sex on the foot the greatest frequency is for the I type of digital index (48,44%). The second type of digital index shows in relative great percent by both sex (34,44%). There are no differences between right and left foot in digital formula neither males or females. There are no major differences in digital formula of foot with aging.
