Quantum in literature - James Joyce and Milorad Pavić
Quantum in literature - James Joyce and Milorad Pavić
The main hypothesis of this paper examines the relationship between the revolutionary changes in the science, especially related to the quantum theory at the beginning of the 20th century, and their influence on the literary texts of modernism, as well as the relationship between the revolutionary changes in the network communications since the 1960s and their influence on the postmodern literature. The analyzed examples of these impacts and analogues of science, literature and information technologies belong to the literary works of James Joyce, Milorad Pavić and their receptions.
Radovan Zogović - poet of “detiant verse”
Radovan Zogović - poet of “detiant verse”
Radovan Zogović, as one of the most important poets and literary critics, who appeared on our literary scene in the period between the two world wars, with his creativity and attitudes caused the multitude of conflicting opinions with both the audience and the critics. With this work, and on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of Zogović’s birth, we remember him primarily as a poet of “defiant verse”, which he created from his young days to old age. This irreconcilable, exclusive and sharp polemic remained faithful to his attitudes and in the times when the public accepted him, as well as when he was not politically fit. Although in his poetry there are no verses that are recited in school, Radovan Zogović is a name for remembering in Serbian literature.

Serbian name Uroš of Dalmatic origin
Serbian name Uroš of Dalmatic origin
In this article, under challenge is the etymology of the Serbian name Uroš from nonoun ourx and, by refuting false etyma, the new etymology is given from hypocoristic Uro of Dalmatic origin. Morphemic tree of the name is interpreted and shown in onomastics and toponymy, as well as the name alone appearing through time in area of a national type, so as reception of the name in other languages. Mediaeval titular usage of the name is scrutinized as well as it's connotations, coming into appellative for reason of 'rusty hairs' of Rascian great župan Uroš (I) most probably, so as it's subsequent development in ornithonym, further appellatives and phytonym. Under deliberation is the question of 'rusty hairs' in members of Serbian ruling dynasties.

Serbian office on the island of Lesbos
Serbian language was being practiced in the corresponding countries in the region regarding activities of a different nature. Office of the Serbian language existed in the territory of present-day Albania, Hungary Romania, Moldova and Turkey. In the State Archives of Dubrovnik saved a document in the Serbian language in April 1403rd year, which testifies to the fact that such an office existed on the island in the Aegean Sea Laybos. The main contents of the letter is asking the government of Dubrovnik Francesco Gattilusi II, lord of the island of Lesbos (Mitylene) to check whether the island has its aristocracy from Bosnia and Serbia. Serbian and Bosnian feudal lords had fled from Turkey after Turkey fell into political chaos after the defeat 1402nd years in Ankara.
